Goldfinch (Liquid Tinkling)

£555.00

Original: Photography and mixed media (Emulsion, Indian ink, wax pastel, pencil, spray paint and collage) on Fabriano 310gsm paper.

56.6 x 56.6cm. Framed in a white bespoke frame with D-rings and mirror plates.

Lucy uses a combination of instinctive mark-making and symbols within her work to reflect the Goldfinch's habitat in trees and shrubs where it lays white speckled eggs. It makes a liquid twittering song and call. Their long fine beaks allow them to extract seeds from thistles and teasels. It is currently on the green list for conservation concern because its numbers are steady.
