Original drawing inspired by Bass Rock, an island in Scotland; home to the world's largest gannet (seabird) population.
This work uses monotype printing techniques, drawing ink and mixed media on heavyweight cartridge paper. Size of paper: 59.4 x 42 cm.
Between October - April 2018, I collaboration with Dr. Jana Jeglinski, a researcher from Glasgow University to explore the movements of teenage gannet colonies to learn more about and protect this species. This artwork was produced as part of an artist residency (with AA2A) at De Montfort University, inspired by her research locations and data gathered from her findings.
The work comes with an individual hand written thank you note from Lucy. Each work is an original and hand made by Lucy, in Leicester at her home or studio.
