Size in bespoke white wooden frame: 89 x 89cm. Comes with D rings and mirror plates to make it easy to hang in your home or office.

Inspired by the colouring, habitat, vocalisation, behaviour, food source and conservation status of the golden oriole. This artwork visualises its fluty call, colouring and its black list conservation status as it hasn’t bred in the UK since 2009.

Lucy collaborates with birding charities to access information, case studies and academic journals provided by the RSPB and the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) to interpret data into visual representations, often reducing information down to a shape, colour, line or pattern using her signature style in a variety of mixed media.

Please note the colouring of the blue background is most accurate on the first 4 images.

This abstract artwork comes with an individual handwritten thank you note from Lucy. Each work is original and hand-made by Lucy, in Leicester at her artist studio.
