Perched Goldfinch

A framed original mixed media drawing of a goldfinch inspired by goldfinches that have been seen feeding at the bottom of Lucy's garden near her apple and plum trees during the warmer months of the year. Goldfinches have a lovely red mask, yellow wing patch and a liquid metallic twittering song. They love to eat tiny seeds and that's why their long fine beak are perfect for eating thistle and teasel seeds.

Painted using emulsion paint, acrylic paint and wax pastels.

The frame comes supplied with D rings, cord and mirror plates to make installation in your home easy.

This abstract artwork comes with an individual handwritten thank you note from Lucy. Each work is hand-made by Lucy at StudionAme, her artist studio in Leicester.
