This artwork is inspired by the curlew using mixed media to showcase its evocative call, long-distance migratory patterns and preferred wetland and grassland habitats. The title is inspired by the migratory route taken by the curlew with European populations following the East Atlantic Flyway, wintering on coasts and moving to inland upland moors for spring breeding. Key migratory paths involve high-altitude, high-speed flights of up to 115 km/h.
