Jay (Stacked Acorns)

This original mixed media artwork is inspired by the Jay and its eating habits of collecting, storing and burying large quantities of acorns. It is suggested that many oak trees are planted from acorns buried by the birds. Jay's are shy birds, but in the autumn you may see them burying acorns for retrieving later in the winter.

This framed painting uses acrylic paint and painted paper on primed plywood panel.

Framed in a wooden walnut coloured frame with D rings and cord. Size: 30.4 (w) x38cm (L).

This abstract artwork comes with an individual handwritten thank you note from Lucy. Each work is hand-made by Lucy at StudionAme, her artist studio in Leicester.
