Mallard (Bread Crusts)

£325.00

This original mixed media artwork is inspired by the Mallard and an age-old British tradition of going to feed the ducks bread, that many will remember quite fondly as a child.

Although there is mixed views on feeding ducks bread because it has little nutritional value and can harm ducklings' growth, pollute waterways and attract rodents and other pests. Although, the RSPB advises that bread isn't harmful, but to only feed small amounts to birds as well as sweetcorn, porridge oats and defrosted frozen peas and bird seed for a varied diet.

This framed painting uses acrylic paint, oil pastel and painted paper on primed plywood panel.

Framed in a wooden walnut coloured frame with D rings and cord. Size: 30.4 (w) x38cm (L).
